UAV Charger Selection Checklist

Before selecting a UAV battery charger, confirm the battery platform, allowable charging current, battery quantity, operating workflow and communication requirements.

1. Start with the Battery Platform

Confirm the battery cell count, chemistry and allowable charging current first. For the current featured range, U3 Neo covers 2S–8S; U4 Neo, U4-HP and U6Q cover 6S–14S; and UD2 covers 14S–20S.

2. Decide How Many Batteries Must Be Charged

Channel count should match the operating workflow, not just the charger specification. U3 Neo, U4 Neo and U4-HP provide dual-channel charging for professional battery systems, while U6Q is designed for higher-throughput multi-battery and fleet charging workflows.

3. Match the Charger to the UAV Operation

U3 Neo is positioned for professional UAV, FPV and Cinelifter platforms; U4 Neo for professional drones and large FPV platforms requiring flexible 1–30A charging current; U4-HP for agriculture and industrial UAV charging; U6Q for multi-battery and fleet operations; and UD2 for high-voltage, heavy-duty UAV platforms.

4. Confirm Battery Communication and Integration

EV-PEAK UAV chargers support UAVCAN by default, with DroneCAN configuration and RS485 customization available for project requirements. Battery, BMS and charging logic should be confirmed before final integration.
